Feedback of the Taxi Driver

Edited and filmed by Anna and written by Bintu

Here is an example of one of the ways we addressed our audience. we  decide to ask our target audience some question help develop our opening sequence. we choose two member from our class to help us get a more useful feedback.  we found this method more successful for our opening sequence because it allow us to research more into the genre and the titling.  however we could have chosen to use  a different age group to get a more range of opinion.

Movie Poster
 By: Anna
After coming up with different ideas, the cross in the eye idea seemed interesting to me, so I decided to try the idea out. I took several photos from Bintu’s eye and did simple edits on them as experiments.

Since it was her eye that I used for the movie. The problem  with her eye was that it was too feminine- as it should be since she is a girl!- so I had to make her eye features a bit rougher in Photoshop. Since I do photography, I happen to be quite confident with Photoshop, so the editing part was easy for me. I first changed her eye colour in Eyecolorizer app in my phone,  then added the cross that I found on internet inside the eye. The cross I wanted was hard to find since it should've been a black cross with white background with somewhat goth look. After lots of research i found what i was looking for.

Then after finding the cross, i spend hours to edit and changed the overall colours and added the tittle.
 Final out come:

It is common that red eye normally represents vampires, rarely any other colour is used in movies so here the eye represents the red eye of a vampire which also can be a representation of evil as well. The fact that the eye looks a bit feminine and the eyebrow looks the opposite creates an enigma code about the gender. Also the font is a Gothic shape which it also represents darkness. The cross in the eye symbolizes religion and church which both are quite strong in this movie and creates a question about the good and the evil in this person with red eyes which creates a kind of horror.
Overall the feedback which i got from my group and others, were all positive and they thought it looks like a real movie poster and quite attractive which is all that a movie poster needs.
